Teeth whitening systems are in great supply on the internet, and while there are a few reasons
for people having teeth that they want whitened, it is almost never bad dental hygiene. Most of the
time, people get stained teeth that they want to lighten in color because they drink coffee or tea,
or even red wine. Sometimes by smoking cigarettes, but usually from drinking beverages.
One of the more popular systems for at home teeth whitening is whitening strips. These are
flexible strips of plastic containing hydrogen peroxide, which helps the teeth bleach safely.
You just stick these on your teeth and wait for a while before taking them off. They are
convenient, kind of, but their biggest drawback is that they don’t taste so good.
Sometimes you can find whitening toothpastes that are also fairly simple to use. Its pretty much
just like regular tooth brushing, you just have to be careful not to brush too hard and you will
want to make sure that you brush after every meal. If you can’t do that because you’re at work,
then make sure to brush at least twice a day. With this method, it might take a couple of months
before you start seeing the results you are looking for.
Whitening trays are a method which works really well. With this system, you have a little tray
which fits over your teeth. You fill this up with the bleaching agent which comes in the kit you
get and then slide the tray over your teeth. You have to wait the amount of time you are supposed
to, which sometimes is a couple of hours, but the effect can be very dramatic. You just want to be
sure that you keep doing this until your teeth look the way you want.
There are also tooth whitening gels which are really to use. You just squeeze some of the gel
out of the tube and rub it on your teeth. Leave it on the amount of time it says on the directions
and then rinse it off. You often get a double advantage with this kind of treatment because it not
only makes your teeth white; it helps kill any bacteria you have in your mouth.
Altogether, almost any of these at home tooth whitening systems can do well for you, you just
have to pick the one you want and keep at it.
